The Centennial is here. 2017 is the 100th anniversary of Americas entry into the Great War, now known as World War I. To commemorate it, La Crescent Public Library will be hosting Arn Kind from Historical Experiences, Inc.. He will be presenting MINNESOTA IN THE GREAT WAR, an exciting living history program that entertains and educates about “The War to End All Wars,” including the huge contribution made by the people of our fine state.
Over 118,000 Minnesota men and women served during the war, in the military as well as in volunteer organizations. Learn about the new technologies, including the tank, the airplane, the submarine and the use of gas which made the air, the sea and the battlefields of WWI extremely lethal.
This event will be held at the La Crescent Public Library on Thursday, November 16th @ 7:00 pm.
