The Touching Moments Book Hounds will be at the La Crescent Public Library on 
Thursday, August 31st from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Registration is required.
By sitting down next to a dog and reading to the dog, all threats of being judged are put aside. Children relax, pet the attentive dog, and focus on the reading. Reading improves because the child is practicing the skill of reading, building self-esteem, and associating reading with something 
pleasant. Reading becomes fun.
Sign up is for 15 minute slots. Come and read to one of the four dogs.
Charlie will be at the library from 4:00 – 5:00pm
Cha Cha will be here from 5:00-6:00pm 
Thecla will be here from 6:00-6:30pm
Mowgli will be here from 6:30pm – 7:00pm
