Closed for Juneteenth

The library will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th in celebration of Juneteenth, the commemoration of the day when the last group of enslaved Black people in the south learned of their freedom. We hope you’ll take advantage of the many opportunities to learn more about Juneteenth, Black history, our local Black community, Black businesses, and Black non-profit organizations at the La Crosse Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, which we’ll be attending!

As we are closed, there will be no Chapter Club this week. Our outdoor book drop remains open. Our High School Reunion Book Club will meet on wednesday at 6:30pm at Swing Bridge Pub. The library will reopen with regular hours on Thursday, June 20th.
